About the position

The Engineering Operations Support Manager at Oerlikon is responsible for overseeing maintenance and operations support across the Americas Region. This role includes managing the Service Maintenance process, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and developing strategic maintenance plans to support organizational goals. The manager will lead a dedicated team, coordinate technical audits, and ensure optimal asset management and utilization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee team expansion, training, and production technology support to achieve optimal performance.
• Interact with all levels of the organization to support strategic improvements.
• Coordinate and perform technical audits with the Head of Operations.
• Ensure correct utilities are in place for current and future expansion and manage infrastructure life cycles.
• Establish and administer a preventative maintenance program for all equipment in the Americas region.
• Support equipment optimization, including upgrades and reliability improvements.
• Coordinate efforts to improve asset utilization and machine reliability.
• Ensure each factory has the correct spare parts for operations.
• Oversee building improvements and equipment relocations.
• Manage technical training for service personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and/or Business Management (experience may substitute).
• 3+ years of experience managing people.
• Progressive management responsibility.
• 3+ years of experience in construction and/or infrastructure preferred.
• Project management experience.
• Customer service-oriented skills.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with SAP and Orbis training.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
