Requirements

  • BS in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution or PE License required.
  • 3 years of engineering experience preferred.
  • A background in engineering with working knowledge of applicable discipline codes, standards and regulatory requirements related to the nuclear power industry.
  • Ability to solve problems and make sound engineering decisions.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office products, specifically WORD, EXCEL and POWERPOINT.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in systems engineering, programs engineering, component engineering and design engineering preferred.
  • Working knowledge in PWR or BWR Systems, structures and components preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the reliability of assigned plant systems.
  • Solve system and component problems.
  • Provide direct technical support for operation and maintenance.
  • Plan long term performance improvements.
  • Direct implementation of assigned programs and work processes.
  • Prepare/coordinate designs, calculations, drawings, cost estimates and schedules for plant modifications and retrofits.
  • Perform fuel inspections and specify fuel movement determinations.
  • Conduct surveillance testing of reactor core.
  • Lead spent fuel audits.
  • Provide Digital I&C support by preparing engineering calculations and performing engineering studies.
  • Maintain programmatic aspects for site digital assets.
