About the position

The Senior Engineering Data Analyst at Timken plays a vital role in analyzing internal and external data to generate insights that drive revenue and profit growth. This position is responsible for leading analytic projects, maintaining key engineering business processes, and collaborating cross-functionally to support data analytics initiatives. Located at the World Headquarters in North Canton, Ohio, this fast-paced role requires a blend of technical expertise and strategic thinking to enhance decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Power BI dashboards for management to assess project effectiveness and efficiency.
• Execute analysis to create and maintain Power BI dashboards for long-range forecast and capacity for engineered bearings.
• Provide Plan For Every Part (PFEP) support for capacity expansion, rationalization, and integration projects.
• Conduct 4Ps analysis for target markets, connecting various data types including sales, gross margin, CRM, and supply chain performance.
• Perform ad-hoc product data analysis to support product strategy development and corporate projects.
• Recommend and implement continuous improvement actions related to data management for corporate processes.
• Participate in gate, performance, or portfolio review meetings, presenting data at the executive level to support business decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, IT, or a similar field.
• At least 7 years of related experience in engineering, data management, data integration, and/or IT.
• Proficient in statistical analysis, Microsoft Office, SQL, Data Services, Power Query, Power BI, and SAP.
• Strong analytical and process documentation skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to derive insights from data.
• Advanced data retrieval and manipulation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated effective project management skills.
