About the position

The Engineering Product Manager at Cisco will play a crucial role in driving security innovations within a dynamic, start-up-like environment. This position involves collaborating with various teams, including Customers, UX, Engineering, and Marketing, to develop products and services that meet customer needs and deliver exceptional user experiences. The role encompasses the entire product lifecycle, from identifying customer problems to delivering effective solutions and measuring product success.

Responsibilities

• Define innovation in security by creating a compelling product roadmap.
• Identify customer problems and collaborate with UX and Engineering to develop solutions.
• Analyze complex business problems and break them down into user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Work with engineering and UX teams to ensure the product meets customer needs.
• Prioritize the product backlog and conduct regular reviews.
• Validate product requirements with customers and design partners.
• Develop product success metrics and an effective experimentation framework.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Product Management with networking and security products in the datacenter space.
• 5+ years of experience with full stack datacenter offerings, including software and hardware.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

• Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Knowledge of SaaS products.
• Strong advocate for lean startup principles, user experience, and design thinking.
