About the position

As an Engineering Program Manager for AI & Data Platforms at Apple, you will be joining a dynamic and innovative team dedicated to driving generative AI and data solutions for the enterprise. This role is pivotal in leading high-visibility programs that leverage cutting-edge technology to transform how Apple teams operate. You will be responsible for roadmapping, establishing objectives and key results (OKRs), and regularly reporting progress to executives in a clear and concise manner. Your leadership will be crucial in driving consensus across various groups, each with their own perspectives and needs, ensuring that all teams are aligned towards a common goal. In this position, you will create and manage project schedules that highlight dependencies and critical paths, employing a systematic methodology to communicate project status effectively. You will also contribute to product definition by identifying and understanding customer needs and priorities, which will inform the development of the project roadmap. Your role will require you to build and run processes that maximize agility and adaptability across the AI & Data Platforms (AiDP) teams, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and efficiency. Building strong relationships across the AiDP organization and throughout Apple will be essential for facilitating communication between cross-divisional groups. You will be at the forefront of a technological transformation, working alongside a talented group of engineers, data scientists, and program managers to deliver impactful solutions that enhance the way Apple operates.

Responsibilities

• Lead high visibility enterprise generative AI programs, responsible for roadmapping, establishing OKRs and reporting statuses to executives regularly and succinctly
• Drive consensus across multiple groups with varying opinions & needs
• Influence entire teams around a common purpose and drive consensus on the plan of execution
• Create and manage project schedules with clear dependencies, critical path and systematic methodology to communicate status
• Contribute to product definition, identifying and understanding customer needs and priorities, and developing roadmap
• Build and run processes that allow for maximum agility and adaptation across AiDP teams
• Build relationships across the AiDP organization and across Apple to facilitate communication between cross-divisional groups.

Requirements

• Two-plus years of industry experience in an engineering role
• Two-plus years of managing engineering programs, bringing multiple teams together towards common objectives
• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a technical related field, or international degree equivalent

Nice-to-haves

• One-plus years experience leading AI or ML programs in an enterprise environment
• Ability to navigate ambiguity in a high-stakes, fast-moving environment with efficiency, discretion, integrity, and confidentiality
• Self-motivated, independent, and proactive with exceptional interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities; can quickly triage, prioritize, and lead under pressure
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, written and verbal, to all levels of an organization.
