About the position

The Software Engineering Program Office at Apple is seeking an experienced project manager to join the Sensing & Connectivity (S&C) software engineering group. This role focuses on building and shipping innovative features and technologies, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including software, hardware, and design. The project manager will oversee the planning, tracking, and delivery of new features while ensuring effective communication with both engineering teams and executives.

Responsibilities

• Partner with software, hardware, design, and other cross-functional teams to define, plan, track, and ship new features and experiences.
• Lead external vendors' firmware deliverables and associated planning for new features, bug tracking, and critical issues.
• Communicate requirements and status clearly at both engineering and executive levels.
• Drive processes or introduce new ones to improve planning and execution efficiency and quality.

Requirements

• Prior experience leading and shipping complex software projects.
• Hands-on experience with software development practices such as Agile and Waterfall.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Ability to distill information and messaging based on the target audience.
• Comfortable working through ambiguity and unafraid to ask challenging questions to make progress.
• Interest in and intuition for good product sense and user experience.
• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
