About the position

The Engineering Program Manager will oversee contract requirements, including technical, schedule, and cost aspects, within an engineering environment at a leading electronics company specializing in satellite communication systems for aerospace, space, and defense industries. This role involves managing program operations, coordinating procurement, and ensuring effective communication with customers and executive management.

Responsibilities

  • Managing P&L responsibilities.
  • Understanding program operations: design, drawings, documentation, cost, and schedule/milestone performance.
  • Coordinating electronic EEE part procurement.
  • Detailing program schedules using MS Project.
  • Managing and coordinating problem-solving efforts.
  • Developing risk identification and reduction plans.
  • Coordinating customer reviews and meetings.
  • Tracking program status, generating reports, and interfacing with customers.
  • Preparing and presenting progress reports to customers and executive management.
  • Supporting new business development and expanding business with existing customers.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) with 3-5 years of technical and business/financial experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management or engineering.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • EEE space part knowledge is a plus.
