About the position

The Engineering Program Manager at Adobe is responsible for driving large-scale programs within the Digital Media Platform, ensuring optimal customer experiences for business clients. This role requires a self-starter who can lead intricate programs throughout their lifecycle, coordinating various aspects such as project plans, resource allocations, and risk management. The position demands a deep technical understanding of solutions being developed and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, from team members to executives, to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

  • Build and coordinate all aspects of a program, including detailed project plans and resource allocations.
  • Maintain a deep, technical end-to-end understanding of the solution being built and its dependencies.
  • Understand technical challenges and navigate options to deliver the best customer experience.
  • Act as a subject matter leader and partner for Product Management, Design, Engineering, Architecture, and QA.
  • Coordinate multiple concurrent programs of varying size, scope, and complexity across different teams.
  • Create materials for various organizational levels, from executive presentations to detailed project documents.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks in assigned areas before they become issues.
  • Engage and influence stakeholders at all levels within the organization.
  • Ensure all project team members have clear goals, expectations, and success criteria.

Requirements

  • Self-motivated with a strong ability to understand business, product, and technical interplay.
  • Extensive program management experience on large-scale initiatives.
  • Knowledgeable in cloud-based software development, particularly in ecommerce and software licensing.
  • Experience in services-based infrastructure/architecture to ensure customer experience.
  • Ability to lead system design and technical discussions across engineering teams.
  • Experience in a matrixed, globally diverse workforce.
  • Proficient with project management tools such as Jira.

Nice-to-haves

  • Background in PMO-best practices.
  • Experience in leading across organizations in a matrixed environment.
