About the position

The Engineering Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in managing capital and operational expense projects through the engineering and design workflow process. This position involves overseeing tasks from project inception to closeout, ensuring timely and efficient project management, and supporting various engineering functions.

Responsibilities

  • Support creation of preliminary work packages, including detailed descriptions of proposed work and relevant data.
  • Track and report on the progress of capital work with a focus on gas system engineering and design responsibilities.
  • Coordinate and support requests for gas facility information.
  • Assist in the development and assembly of project work packages.
  • Support the Engineering permitting process.
  • Track and monitor Engineering charges and costs, processing P.O. and invoices.
  • Provide reporting and analysis in support of the project closeout process.
  • Carry out tasks for successful project closure, including quality assurance.

Requirements

  • Understanding of company software applications that support work and design processes, including Work Management systems and GIS Platforms.
  • Experience integrating the work of a functional team/business unit to enable high performance.
  • Demonstrated capability to work in a technical functional area and enable team efficiency.
  • Ability to collaborate within and across teams at Rhode Island Energy.
  • High level of personal initiative and ability to interact with a diverse group of personnel.
  • Ability to research, compile, coordinate, review, document, organize, verify data, conduct independent analysis, and identify inconsistencies.
