About the position

The Engineering Project Manager for Avionics will lead the delivery of military displays for aircraft within the Defense Electrical Systems Engineering team. This role involves managing a cross-functional project team across various engineering disciplines while ensuring adherence to cost and schedule commitments. The position is a long-term contracting opportunity based in Alpharetta, GA, with a 9/80 work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of military displays for aircraft.
• Manage a cross-functional project team including Software, Mechanical, and Electrical engineering groups.
• Oversee the cost, schedule, and technical delivery of avionics products.
• Coordinate with Operations and Program Management teams to ensure project success.
• Resolve complex engineering issues in a timely manner.

Requirements

• 10+ years of Engineering Leadership Experience delivering Avionics Products.
• Experience working with Electrical, Systems, Software, Mechanical, and Thermal Engineering units.
• Expertise in delivering electromechanical avionic systems.
• Ability to manage complex engineering issues and deliver resolutions on time and budget.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Budget reporting and management experience ($1M+).
