About the position

The Engineering Project Manager for Product Development will oversee new product development projects at a manufacturing company in NW St. Louis. This role involves managing cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products, facilitating communication among stakeholders, and improving project management processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple, simultaneous new product development projects.
  • Define project scope, including cost targets, product features, and deadlines.
  • Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, supply chain, operations, product management) to ensure timely decision-making and task completion.
  • Facilitate clear communication between project team members, stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Oversee prototype builds and prioritize feedback for design iterations.
  • Ensure proper documentation of key information from meetings, emails, and other media.
  • Mediate between conflicting departments, stakeholders, or project team members to find agreeable solutions.
  • Deliver executive-level summaries of project progress.
  • Suggest improvements for project management processes, tools, and resources.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Manager in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree (Engineering-related field preferred).
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong understanding of product development processes and methodologies.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Experience in sheet metal fabrication and assembly processes.
  • 5+ years of experience in Project Management.
  • Experience with Smartsheet work management software.
