About the position

The Product Development Project Manager will oversee new product development projects at the company headquarters in NW St. Louis. This role involves managing cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of best-in-class products while maintaining clear communication among stakeholders and team members. The Project Manager will be responsible for defining project scopes, leading teams, and facilitating improvements in project management processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple, simultaneous new product development projects.
  • Define project scope, including cost targets, product features, and deadlines.
  • Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, supply chain, operations, product management) to ensure timely decision-making and task completion.
  • Facilitate clear communication between project team members, stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Oversee prototype builds and prioritize feedback for design iterations.
  • Ensure proper documentation of key information from meetings, emails, and other media.
  • Mediate between conflicting departments, stakeholders, or project team members to find agreeable solutions.
  • Deliver executive-level summaries of project progress.
  • Suggest improvements for project management processes, tools, and resources.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Manager in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree (Engineering-related field preferred).
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong understanding of product development processes and methodologies.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Experience in sheet metal fabrication and assembly processes.
  • 5+ years of experience in Project Management.
  • Experience with Smartsheet work management software.
