About the position

The Engineering Project Manager will oversee the scope, schedule, and budget of engineering projects, particularly in the fields of Wind, Solar, and Battery Storage. This role involves leading design teams, enhancing customer relationships, and ensuring project deliverables are met on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects effectively and efficiently.
  • Facilitate and lead project meetings for design team engineers.
  • Build and maintain schedules for engineering projects in coordination with the engineering project manager and design phase manager.
  • Utilize construction management software to manage all project phases, including vendor drawing reviews and design deliverable submissions.
  • Manage open engineering project issues to ensure they are resolved by deadlines.
  • Collaborate with design team engineers, design phase managers, and field team project managers to enhance customer experience.
  • Partner with the Engineering Project Management Team to create project estimates and support business development.
  • Administer and manage contract scopes.
  • Assist in resource management for projects.
  • Provide direction to the project design team to ensure timely project completion.
  • Prioritize engineering activities to maintain schedules across disciplines.
  • Act as a liaison between design team engineers, engineering leadership, design phase managers, and customers.
  • Direct engineers to complete project responsibilities by due dates for deliverables.
  • Assist in cost control and fiscal management of projects.
  • Coordinate scopes of work with project budgets.
  • Oversee project budgets and recommend optimizations.
  • Acquire, organize, assess, analyze, and streamline engineering project data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum five years of related previous experience.
  • Detail orientation to manage multiple project tasks effectively.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, project management, and relevant web applications.
  • Strong customer service skills and a positive, professional attitude.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills, including active listening and openness to diverse feedback.
  • Basic knowledge of Wind, Solar, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) technologies.
