About the position
The Engineering Project Manager at Actalent is responsible for managing medium to large scale, technically complex New Product Development (NPD) and Value Engineering projects. This role involves leading project teams through the Stage-Gate Product Development process from concept to post-release, ensuring a smooth transition into production. The position requires strong project oversight, collaboration with subject matter experts, and effective management of project scope, schedule, budget, and risks.
Responsibilities
- Manage medium to large scale, technically complex New Product Development and Value Engineering projects.
- Lead project teams through the Stage-Gate Product Development process from concept to post-release.
- Facilitate development brainstorming events and post-launch activities to support production transition.
- Oversee the parallel path development of manufacturing production lines, including design of fixtures and End-of-Line test equipment.
- Chair project meetings focusing on scope control, schedule updates, budget tracking, and risk management.
Requirements
- 10+ years of NPD project management experience, including concept into production launch and value engineering projects.
- Experience with IoT and/or consumer products.
- An engineering degree is required.
- Strong coordination, organization, and development of project scope.
- Well-rounded experience within all areas of cross-functional groups.
- Understanding of development projects and cross-functional project management.
