About the position

The Project Manager - Engineering role at Akkodis involves overseeing engineering projects to ensure that various objectives such as business, technical, environmental, operational, financial, and scheduling are met. The role is a 7-month contract based in Omaha, NE, and requires a strong background in engineering and project management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that business, technical, environmental, operational, financial and scheduling objectives are met for assigned projects.
• Manage project workflow by identifying and executing interfaces between facility planning, regulatory, right-of-way, environmental, engineering, design, construction, operations, and marketing functions.
• Responsible for project meetings, planned budget, and schedule.
• Manage resources, considering team member expertise and workload in optimization, right-of-way, environmental, regulatory, tech services, and construction while keeping within budget considerations.
• Assist in identifying and implementing best practices.
• Ensure communication links are maintained with project team, project sponsors, project control, facility owners, and operators.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in the appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
• Eight or more years of experience in engineering, technical services, and construction of gas pipeline facilities with a minimum of three years in a management function on projects or related technical field.
• Proven record of accomplishment as a lead engineer on projects.
• Advanced project management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
• High level of innovation, creativity, and ingenuity in situations calling for originality and inventive approaches.
