About the position

The Engineering Project Manager at Infomatics, Inc. is responsible for leading project planning and execution for major and minor model and capital expenditure projects. This role involves developing project schedules, reporting project status, and collaborating with various internal and external teams to enhance process efficiencies and reduce costs. The position requires a strong background in engineering and project management, particularly in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning for major and minor model and CapEx projects.
• Develop project feasibility studies (PFS) and schedules highlighting required milestones.
• Report project status and escalate concerns regarding A Rank PFS.
• Develop new technologies and vendor bases for Production Engineering to improve process efficiencies and reduce costs.
• Benchmark against other North American Manufacturing Centers (NAMCs) and identify Kaizen opportunities.

Requirements

• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2012 or above for 2D design.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and some proficiency in other Microsoft Office systems (PowerBI, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
• Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Production, or Controls Engineering, or equivalent engineering experience of 3+ years.
• Experience coordinating equipment installations with multiple contractors.
• Passion for a hands-on manufacturing environment to gather data and perform process analysis.

Nice-to-haves

• 2+ years work experience in a manufacturing/technical environment in an engineering role.
• Experience with Automotive Paint Process (OEM).
• Some 3D modeling experience (Catia, XVL, Solidworks, Inventor).
• Experience with project management in an engineering role.
