About the position

The Engineering Project Manager will oversee multiple electronic product development projects, collaborating with Engineering Managers and other stakeholders to define project needs, deadlines, budgets, and risk assessments. This role requires effective delegation, communication of progress and risks, and ensuring that all projects align with company goals and are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Establish project needs, deadlines, budgets, and risk evaluations in collaboration with Engineering Managers.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, delegating work and resources efficiently.
  • Communicate project progress and risks to management.
  • Make timely decisions based on available information to keep projects on schedule.
  • Adjust project schedules and targets as needed, communicating changes to stakeholders.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for scheduling between departments.
  • Facilitate collaboration across departments to ensure successful project completion.
  • Create presentations and reports to communicate project status and analyze data.
  • Host regular project meetings with team members and managers.
  • Provide feedback and encouragement to team members to maintain focus on project goals.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports and evaluations.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a direct Project Management or Lead role in the electronics industry.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with project management methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile.
  • Strong technical understanding of the electronic product development process.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate engineering teams.
  • Experience using project management tools and software such as Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent spreadsheet skills.
