About the position

The Engineering Project Manager will support a large life sciences company in the San Clemente/Northern San Diego area. This role involves managing 2-3 active projects within a specific medical device business line, requiring a hybrid work schedule with on-site presence three days a week. The ideal candidate should have an engineering background, preferably with experience in medical devices, to effectively understand project timelines and initiatives. This position is a 12-month contract with a high likelihood of extension and potential for full-time employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee 2-3 active projects within the medical device business line.
• Coordinate project timelines and initiatives to ensure successful project delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project goals and objectives.
• Provide regular updates and reports on project status to stakeholders.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of project management experience within a research and development (R&D) environment.
• 2-4+ years of engineering experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline.
• Ability to work on-site in San Clemente 3 days a week.

Nice-to-haves

• Medical device experience is preferred.
