About the position

The position is responsible for managing the delivery of several medium to small capital investment projects from inception to completion, significantly impacting company objectives related to production, networks, and other water resource or operations systems. The role involves monitoring budgets and schedules, ensuring compliance with regulatory criteria, and interacting with various internal and external stakeholders to facilitate project approvals and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage budgets and schedules for several medium to small Capital Investment Projects.
  • Drive efficiency into project delivery through monitoring delivery metrics and pursuing effective delivery and procurement approaches.
  • Deliver assigned Capital Projects in accordance with policies and procedures set in the Capital Investment Management (CIM) system.
  • Ensure asset owner satisfaction according to the agreed scope of work for each project.
  • Interact with Operations personnel to ensure project delivery meets operational needs and is coordinated with them.
  • Coordinate with Technical Services regarding standards and requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with established regulatory criteria, specifications, and standards.
  • Interact with property groups, technical services, and governmental agencies to coordinate land acquisition, easements, permits, and project approvals.
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, programs, and standards of performance and approved objectives.
  • Pursue educational opportunities and professional development to enhance performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years experience in project delivery of major water resources projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field strongly preferred.
  • General knowledge of Engineering, Project Management, and construction management practices related to water resource management facilities.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory developments and current trends in water quality and treatment.
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations and company procedures.
  • Strong project management skills including planning, organizing, directing, and reporting on project activities.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills including presentation and report writing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate others.
  • Computer literacy and competent in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, and project scheduling software.
  • Financial analysis skills including budget management and basic accounting knowledge.
