The Special Projects Division of KPFF is expanding and is in search of a motivated and initiative-driven Senior Civil Transportation Engineer to enhance our dynamic team located in Seattle or Tacoma, WA. This role places you at the center of downtown, where you will engage in a variety of complex roadway and transportation improvement projects, particularly in design-build environments. As a vital member of our team, you will not only refine your existing expertise in transportation engineering but also immerse yourself in design, project management, and the delivery of exceptional client service. You will also contribute to projects related to waterfront and industrial developments, utilizing your skills to ensure successful outcomes in these specialized areas. Additionally, you will learn to assess risks and develop mitigation strategies that contribute to project success while ensuring regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle, including understanding regulations and permitting requirements. Your problem-solving skills will be enhanced as you identify and overcome challenges using both traditional and modern engineering techniques. As a project leader, you will manage project tasks, ensuring efficient coordination of timelines, budgets, and resources to achieve successful outcomes. Conducting site visits and inspections will be necessary to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
