About the position
The Engineering Support Specialist will provide essential support to the Engineering and Toolmaker teams by managing technical information and documentation, including CAD data. This role emphasizes strong communication skills and the ability to learn new software, ensuring that all necessary information is accurately filed and maintained to facilitate product development.
Responsibilities
- Import and translate CAD data for Estimating and Engineering departments.
- Order various components as needed by toolmaker teams.
- Update toolmaker and Engineering teams on order status as needed.
- Assist in negotiations on some components.
- Document and support interactions and resolutions in company database.
- Collaborate with other teams to escalate complex issues when necessary.
- Stay updated on the latest technology trends and best practices to support Engineering and Toolmaker teams.
Requirements
- Proficiency in using computer and database tools is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows) and computer components.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
