About the position

The System Integration and Test Engineer will be responsible for designing and redesigning current test adapters, as well as modifying and reviewing test software. This role involves integrating test adapters with existing common core test stations, creating validation plans, and certifying Integrated Test Adapters (ITAs) and Test Production Systems (TPSs) for production. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering labs and production facilities, ensuring that all testing processes meet the required standards and specifications. A key aspect of this position is the ability to read and understand electrical schematics, along with a familiarity with fundamental electro-optical principles. The candidate should also be well-versed in the Design Assurance Process and capable of organizing reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards. Experience with the NI Development Suite, including TestStand, CVI, and LabVIEW, is essential for this role, as it will be used extensively in the development and execution of test procedures. Additionally, the engineer will demonstrate experience with Automated Test Equipment and various test methodologies, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process. Software and hardware design experience is also required, as the candidate will be involved in troubleshooting hardware to identify defects in manufactured test adapters. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint, is necessary for documentation and presentation purposes. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential for effectively presenting findings and updates to management.
