About the position

The Engineering Technical Writer Sr role involves creating and maintaining high-quality technical documentation for Energy Delivery Operations. This position requires collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs) to analyze processes and develop business process flows, ensuring clarity and accuracy in documentation. The role is hybrid, requiring in-office presence three days a week, and is focused on delivering documentation that adheres to corporate standards and policies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze processes while working with SMEs to build out and develop business process flows in Visio.
• Assist in the editing of documents for spelling, grammar, content accuracy, readability, and consistency.
• Prepare and update documentation plans, outlines of content, and written text.
• Organize moderate to complex technical topics from various sources into cohesive documents.
• Research, develop, review, and coordinate new procedures and changes to existing procedures.
• Coordinate with other departments during procedure development and revision process.
• Establish procedure revision guidelines, standards, and writing guidelines.
• Demonstrate professionalism and ethical behavior in all work habits.
• Promote adherence to corporate standards, policies, and ethics.
• Perform all duties in compliance with company safety policies and rules.
• Perform emerging duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Technical Writing
• Experience creating technical documentation related to Engineering, Energy, or Utilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, and Adobe Acrobat
• Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Technical Writing, or a related field
