About the position

The Aerospace Engineering Technician position at the Centralized Air Force Manufacturing Center involves supporting the review and approval of production-level technical data packages. The role requires expertise in Computer Aided Design (CAD), product lifecycle management, and model validation software to ensure the integrity and compliance of engineering projects related to aircraft part repair and origination.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an Engineering Technician and Advanced Manufacturing support for the Centralized Air Force Manufacturing Center.
  • Review and approve organic production level, repair, and first article Technical Data Packages (TDPs).
  • Perform project planning, design, and troubleshooting for establishing new facility and laboratory plans.
  • Coordinate projects with other engineering disciplines to ensure all design and repair considerations are addressed.
  • Participate in discussions, meetings, or serve on panels or committees.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-10 level or equivalent.
  • Extensive knowledge of CNC and additive manufacturing machines.
  • Working knowledge of technical or engineering concepts applicable to aircraft part technical data packages.
  • Ability to communicate technical terms effectively with engineers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with project management from concept to completion.
  • Knowledge of health, fire, safety, and environmental requirements in engineering.
