About the position

MSA Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Technician - Civil to join our dynamic team. The position would specialize in the construction administration and observation of water and wastewater treatment facilities. As an Engineering Technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution and completion of our water and wastewater treatment construction projects. This position can be based in any of our 17 office locations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site technical support, oversee construction activities, and ensure adherence to project specifications, timelines, and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and various stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication and resolve any technical issues that may arise during construction.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of construction activities, prepare progress reports, and provide comprehensive updates to project stakeholders.
  • Identify potential construction challenges and proactively propose innovative solutions to ensure project success.
  • Ability to travel and temporarily relocate to construction sites for long term projects.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related degree preferred
  • Proven experience in construction, preferably within wastewater treatment or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and relevant engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools for scheduling and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to safety standards and regulatory compliance.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Advanced qualifications are encouraged to apply.
