About the position

The position involves performing field and laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel. The role requires effective communication with various stakeholders regarding project requirements and testing results, as well as maintaining safety standards and quality control throughout the projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials.
• Communicate with project manager, engineering technicians, client representatives, and contractor's representatives regarding project requirements and testing results.
• Transport material samples to the laboratory for further testing and analysis.
• Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observations in written and digital reports for daily transmittal to the Project Manager.
• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas.
• Assist with scheduling and dispatch of Technicians to project sites as needed.
• Adhere to strict safety standards and report any safety issues to management.
• Maintain quality standards on all projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of experience required.
• Obtain ACI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Successful completion of related internal safety certifications.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.

Nice-to-haves

• Obtain Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of hire.
