About the position
The Engineering Technician II position at SAIC involves supporting the US Navy in the installation of equipment in radio rooms of new construction submarines. The role includes collaborating with design teams, assisting in the evaluation and modification of machinery, and conducting research and testing for new equipment installations.
Responsibilities
- Support the installation of cable, mounting kits, and other equipment in radio rooms of submarines.
- Collaborate with design teams to prepare design drawings.
- Assist in the design, evaluation, and modification of machinery and equipment.
- Research, design, develop, and test the installation of new equipment.
- Integrate and fabricate cables.
Requirements
- Associate degree in engineering technology or formal electronics training from a technical school or military school.
- Three years of experience in a related field or eight years of experience with a high school diploma.
- Experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair of digital computers and related equipment.
- At least four years of experience in the maintenance and repair of C5ISR systems, subsystems, and equipment.
