About the position

The City of Roseburg is looking for a dedicated Engineering Technician II to join our team. This position is essential for ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of various engineering projects within our community. As an Engineering Technician II, you will be responsible for applying your knowledge of computers, drafting, and technical engineering practices to support the engineering department's objectives. You will work closely with engineers and other technicians to assist in the design, development, and implementation of engineering projects. Your role will involve hands-on work, requiring precision and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges that arise during project execution. In this position, you will be expected to utilize your technical skills to prepare engineering drawings, perform calculations, and assist in the preparation of reports and documentation. You will also be involved in field inspections to ensure that projects comply with relevant codes and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering terminology and practices, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours of work per week, primarily during the day shift. Responsibilities
