About the position

The Engineering Technician II at Five Rivers Analytics (FRA) plays a crucial role in providing technical support services to the Federal Aviation Administration Logistic Center (FAALC). This position involves a variety of tasks related to the assembly, repair, and testing of electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment, ensuring they meet serviceability and reliability standards. The role is integral to supporting both the FAA's operational needs and the cultural mission of FRA, which focuses on serving Alaska Native communities.

Responsibilities

• Assemble or construct simple or standard equipment or parts following specific instructions.
• Service or repair simple instruments or equipment as needed.
• Conduct a variety of tests using established methods, preparing test specimens, and recording test data.
• Adjust and operate equipment, pointing out deviations resulting from equipment malfunction or observational errors.
• Extract engineering data from various prescribed sources and process it using well-defined methods.
• Present processed data in prescribed form.

Requirements

• Two years of practical experience in an engineering technician support position.
• Experience in developing, reviewing, and updating engineering documentation and processes.
• Experience in troubleshooting, repairing, assembling, testing, and installing electrical and mechanical systems and equipment.
• Minimum High School diploma/GED with completion of formal technical training courses or an Associate Degree in Electrical or Engineering Technology.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance.
