About the position
The Engineering Technician (Lab) position at a leading manufacturing client in Kohler, WI, involves conducting various tests on kitchen and bath fixtures to assess product performance. The role requires collaboration with product development teams, meticulous record-keeping, and adherence to laboratory safety and quality standards. This is a full-time, on-site contract role with a pay range of $20 to $24 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with cross-functional product development teams to conduct testing and evaluation of product prototypes to various clients and national standards.
- Manages multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that projects are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintains detailed records of tests conducted, procedures used, and testing results, reporting any unusual outcomes.
- Utilizes knowledge and experience in the safe operation of laboratory equipment and adherence to ISO 17025 procedures.
- Participates in laboratory and equipment maintenance and calibration tasks in accordance with laboratory policy.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in a Science or Engineering field OR high school graduate with at least two years of proven experience in product development or a related role, preferably in a laboratory environment.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and report writing skills.
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
