About the position

The Engineering Services Test Technician position at Infinite Computing Systems involves performing moderately complex technical tasks under direct supervision at the Interiors Engineering Development Lab (EDL). The role focuses on building and testing commercial aircraft seats and furniture, providing technical support to engineers, and contributing to the planning and execution of engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Works with peers and engineers to build and test commercial aircraft seats and furniture.
• Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of tasks.
• Confers with engineers on details and implications of test article build, test procedures, and results.
• May require occasional overtime including weekends.

Requirements

• Associate's degree (AA/AS) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient with a variety of hand tools.
• Proficient with basic mechanical and manufacturing concepts.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Working knowledge of engineering drawing interpretations.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a highly regulated industry, especially aerospace or automotive.
• Experience working in a testing and quality assurance environment.
• Well organized with solid judgment; able to multitask and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of metal machining and fabrication equipment.
