About the position
The Global RAD Operations (GRO) network delivers millions of packages and smiles to Amazon internal customers every day. GRO is looking for a motivated, customer-focused individual to join our team as an Engineering Technician. This leader will work closely with our Operations and Engineering team to improve the quality of processes. They will also be responsible for monitoring, reporting, and investigating any process failures. GRO's workflow has three major components: First Mile - receiving and stowing product in RAD; Middle Mile - picking, prepping, and packing the product for shipment; and Last Mile - delivering product to the internal customer's door. Please note that all workflows have slight building variations, but one thing is constant: our vision and dedication to the customer.
Responsibilities
- Support engineering with process audits program by performing daily audits, and follow up on resolving non-compliance.
- Collaborate with area managers and engineer to support change implementation.
- Review and write SOP for operations, as required.
- Be the voice of associate in identifying gaps, and escalating it to the engineering team.
- Support and work in assigned department as required.
- Assist the floor as an associate resource, training associates, and verifying SOP compliance.
- Participate in Operational Excellence initiatives in some capacity.
- Collaborate with operations and work on analyzing delivery defects and risks.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Diploma or one year of continuous Amazon experience
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and analytical skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas
- Experience in Microsoft Office, Intermediate excel skills for data analysis.
