About the position

Here at Cox & Company we solve the aerospace industry's most challenging ice protection and temperature control problems. We are looking for a skilled Engineering Technician to modify, repair and improve existing electronic products, equipment and controls. The Engineering Technician will be responsible for testing and troubleshooting new electronic products, maintaining accurate data packages for each product, and diagnosing, documenting, and testing field units to return them to service.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test electronic components based on verbal or written instructions, diagrams, and specifications.
• Record data with a high level of accuracy for each product.
• Document defects in new products and complete RMA teardown reports for field returns.
• Conduct Environmental Stress Screening using Vibration and Thermal Chambers.
• Scan and fill out travelers for each job performed accurately.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• In-depth understanding of electronics principles and design.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to follow complex directions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions in English.
• Associate degree in Electronics required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Electronic Technician certification or equivalent certification/licensure required.
