The Automation and Controls System Engineering Technician role at Siemens Healthineers is designed for ambitious professionals seeking to advance their careers in a supportive and innovative environment. Responsibilities

  • Provide multi-craft process maintenance support to troubleshoot automated filling, packaging, and labeling equipment.
  • Utilize process control software including PLCs and HMIs to diagnose equipment problems.
  • Support Production Equipment Vision Systems and Barcode Readers.
  • Maintain Production Equipment Electro-mechanical systems including sensors and temperature control.
  • Perform required preventative maintenance on complex production equipment.
  • Take an active role in continuous improvement and Total Productive Maintenance initiatives.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Engineering Technology, Automation and Control, Journey certification, or 8+ years of equivalent experience required.
  • HVAC Universal Licenses.
  • Minimum of 8 years supporting manufacturing automation and process control designs in a cGMP Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting software within Programmable Logic Controllers (Siemens and Rockwell) and electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to resolve complex equipment breakdowns.
  • Working knowledge of Lean business systems and methodologies such as TPM, 5S, & OEE Monitoring.
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills to work within a team environment.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Siemens and Rockwell PLCs.
  • Familiarity with Lean business systems and methodologies.
