About the position

The position involves supporting engineering activities through technical functions related to the design, testing, modification, and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems and specialized test equipment. The role requires applying principles of electronics and engineering mathematics to conduct tests and troubleshoot systems, ensuring high reliability in various industrial applications.

Responsibilities

• Discuss layout and assembly procedures with Engineers or management and draw sketches to clarify design details.
• Recommend changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
• Work from schematics, diagrams, and written descriptions to perform testing and troubleshooting functions.
• Set up standard test apparatus to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and life tests.
• Adjust, calibrate, align, and modify circuitry and components, recording effects on unit performance.
• Check functioning of newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings for assembling electronics units.
• Perform preventative maintenance or calibration of equipment or systems.
• Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with external and/or internal sources to procure replacement parts.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-2 years of experience in a directly related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• U.S. Person required for this position, including U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents.
