About the position
The English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher is responsible for providing students with appropriate instruction and activities in assigned subject areas using an approved curriculum. The goal is to support and advance students' intellectual, social-emotional, psychological, and physical growth in a safe and optimal learning environment. The teacher will develop competencies and hone skills for students to become independent, functional, and responsible members of the community and society.
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction and activities in English Language Arts using an approved curriculum.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Elementary Education or a related field.
- Valid Louisiana teaching certificate with required endorsements.
- Knowledge of curriculum and core academic subjects assigned.
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior in a constructive and positive manner.
- Demonstrate competency in digital-age work and student learning.
- One year of student teaching or approved internship.
Nice-to-haves
- Master's degree in a related discipline/field.
- Evidence of prior successful teaching experience.
