About The Position

The English Language Proficiency Assessments Examiner is responsible for administering the Initial, Alternate, and Summative English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC) to students in grades K-12. This role involves ensuring a safe and organized testing environment while following state protocols and maintaining confidentiality of test materials.

Requirements

  • Equivalent of the completion of the twelfth grade.
  • Completion of a formal letter of introduction, resume, and three signed letters of recommendation.

Responsibilities

  • Complete state required Moodle training and calibration.
  • Attend ELPAC Administration and Scoring Training.
  • Commit to testing administration during the complete testing window.
  • Prepare materials for testing.
  • Schedule assessments for students.
  • Call families about assessments.
  • Administer and score the ELPAC and/or Alternate ELPAC.
  • Follow testing protocols and navigate testing interfaces during test administration.
  • Ensure a safe, organized testing environment.
  • Maintain a variety of digital and physical logs & records.
  • Perform a wide variety of clerical duties.
  • Follow all procedures to ensure confidentiality and maintain secure test materials.
