About the position

The Sinclair English Department is seeking part-time (adjunct) faculty to teach face-to-face courses at the Courseview campus in Mason, OH. Responsibilities

• Teach curriculum developed by the department
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning
• Prepare and provide syllabi for all assigned sections
• Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies
• Modify instructional methods to meet diverse students' needs
• Support classroom and online efforts to promote student success
• Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate records of student progress
• Submit final grade rosters according to established deadlines
• Maintain confidentiality of student information

Requirements

• Minimum of a master's degree in English or a master's degree with at least 18 semester credit hours of graduate coursework in the content area
• Evidence of successful prior teaching experience is preferred
• Demonstrated commitment to improving student learning through innovative strategies
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated skills in using modern educational technology, including multimedia-based instruction

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in teaching at the college level
