About the position

The Production Supervisor at Precision Glass Industries is responsible for managing and supervising the production team at the manufacturing plants. This role focuses on ensuring effective and efficient production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and implementing improvements to enhance productivity. The supervisor will also be involved in scheduling, inventory management, and compliance with safety protocols, contributing to the company's commitment to quality and innovation in the glass manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise the production team to ensure effective and efficient work.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules using established planning systems.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules and workloads as needed to meet targets.
  • Ensure all products are produced to the highest quality standards with minimal waste.
  • Continuously evaluate production processes to identify and implement improvements.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve quality.
  • Manage and maintain inventory levels to ensure smooth and efficient production.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and proper training of employees in safety procedures.
  • Implement company values and policies effectively, ensuring employee compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, including quality control, work-cell throughput, and production schedules.
  • Provide regular reports to management on production progress, quality control, and inventory levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in production management, preferably in a manufacturing operation.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and manage a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
