About the position
The position involves working as a remote Spanish Bilingual Interpreter, primarily handling high volume inbound calls to facilitate communication between Spanish and English speakers across various industries. The role requires fluency in both languages and offers a long-term contract with paid training and opportunities for future video interpreting.
Responsibilities
- Handle telephone calls on demand in a quiet home office.
- Translate Spanish/English conversations for a wide range of industries including Healthcare, Government, Insurance Financial, Travel & Hospitality.
- Interpret conversations that may be simple, complex, or technical.
Requirements
- Fluency in both Spanish and English.
- Ability to work a minimum of 27 hours a week.
- Comfortable being on camera for video interpreting.
- Manual dexterity to type or write notes.
Nice-to-haves
- Education or work experience in teaching or translation considered an asset.
- Availability on Saturdays and Mondays preferred.
