About the position
Kelly® Professional & Industrial is seeking skilled Spanish Bilingual Interpreters for remote work opportunities. This position involves interpreting high volume inbound calls, providing essential communication support for various industries including Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Financial, Travel & Hospitality, and other government entities. The role is designed for individuals who are fluent in both Spanish and English and can handle telephone calls on demand from a quiet home office environment. The interpreters will be responsible for translating conversations that may range from simple to complex or technical, ensuring clear and effective communication between parties. The position offers a long-term contract with a pay rate of $15 per hour and includes three weeks of paid training conducted remotely. As part of the job, interpreters will also be required to participate in video interpreting sessions in the future, which will necessitate additional training. Ideal candidates should be able to commit to a minimum of 27 hours per week, with specific shifts required on Saturdays and Mondays. The role does not require previous experience, but education or work experience in teaching or translation is considered an asset. Candidates must also be comfortable being on camera, as video calls will be a mandatory part of the interpreting process.
Responsibilities
- Handle telephone calls on demand in a quiet home office environment.
- Translate Spanish/English conversations for various industries including Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Financial, Travel & Hospitality.
- Interpret conversations that may be simple, complex, or technical.
- Participate in video interpreting sessions as required.
Requirements
- Fluency in both Spanish and English.
- Ability to work a minimum of 27 hours a week.
- Comfortable being on camera for video interpreting.
- Manual dexterity to type or write notes.
