About the position
Outlier is seeking experienced English writers to assist in training generative AI models through reading, writing, and assessing AI-generated text. This remote, freelance position offers flexible hours, allowing writers to work at their convenience while contributing their expertise to improve AI models.
Responsibilities
- Read English text to rank responses produced by an AI model.
- Write and rewrite prompts and responses, including research and fact-checking.
- Assess the factuality and relevance of text generated by AI models.
Requirements
- Experience as a professional writer or editor.
- Currently enrolled in or completed a bachelor's degree or higher in a writing-related discipline at an accredited institution.
- Strong writing style with exceptional English-language spelling and grammar skills.
- Excellent logic and reasoning skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to clearly explain strengths and weaknesses of text.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with AI or machine learning concepts.
- Familiarity with various writing styles and formats.
