About the position
As an Enrichment Activity Leader at Belmont Village West Lake Hills, you will engage residents with mild cognitive impairment and dementia through conversations and activities. This role focuses on building relationships with residents and developing expertise in memory care, while leading evidence-based therapeutic programming. The position offers opportunities for career growth and training in the field of aging services.
Responsibilities
- Lead small groups of cognitively impaired seniors in therapeutic Whole Brain Fitness programs.
- Prepare materials and conduct research to lead engaging memory enrichment activities.
- Assist with cognitive assessments and maintain compliance-related documentation.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree with coursework in Recreation Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Ability to work the defined schedule for this position, which may include weekends.
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Prior hands-on experience leading senior adults in activities within an Assisted Living or Memory Care community.
