About the position
As an Enrichment Activity Leader at Belmont Village West Lake Hills, you will engage residents with mild cognitive impairment and dementia through conversations and activities. This role focuses on building relationships with residents while leading evidence-based therapeutic programming. Responsibilities
- Lead small groups of cognitively impaired seniors in therapeutic Whole Brain Fitness programs.
- Prepare materials and conduct research to confidently lead engaging memory enrichment activities.
- Assist with Cognitive Assessments and maintain compliance-related documentation.
Requirements
- Associates Degree with coursework in Recreation Therapy, Social Work, Psychology or a related field of study.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Ability to work the defined schedule for this position which may include weekends.
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Prior hands-on experience leading senior adults in activities within an Assisted Living or Memory Care community.
- Described by co-workers as dependable, adaptable, and compassionate.
