About the position
The Enrichment Aide at Lakewood Health System plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents through engaging activities and compassionate care. This part-time position focuses on promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being by organizing various events and programs, while also providing direct care support to residents.
Responsibilities
- Support and enhance the quality of day-to-day life of residents.
- Create meaningful and engaging activities for residents.
- Assist with transfers and personal care as part of daily activity programs.
- Organize and coordinate events such as arts and crafts, music therapy, and social events.
- Fill in for other activity staff during vacations or illness.
Requirements
- At least grade school education, preferably a high school diploma or GED.
- Completion of a State of Minnesota approved Nursing Assistant Program Test Out within 4 months of hire.
- Experience in geriatrics is desirable.
- Valid driver's license.
- Computer knowledge and CPR certification.
