About the position

The Enrichment and Education Manager at Amara is responsible for developing and implementing enrichment programs for parents, youth, and caregivers involved in the child welfare system. This role focuses on creating opportunities for learning and support, ensuring successful program implementation, and promoting Amara's mission and values. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and oversight of grant-based projects, including curriculum development and training needs assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement organizational enrichment workplans, including annual events and opportunities.
  • Assess training needs for staff, parents, caregivers, and service providers.
  • Identify gaps in enrichment opportunities and build plans to address them.
  • Design and implement Amara-led Support Groups, including audience determination and evaluation.
  • Support the creation of enrichment curriculum content and learning objectives.
  • Identify a sustainable online training platform for enrichment workshops.
  • Review and update Amara Staff Enrichment Plans/Requirements in collaboration with HR.
  • Ensure consistency in workshop design across in-person and online environments.
  • Lead developmental screening training for providers and caregivers.
  • Conduct performance measurement and continuous quality improvement activities.
  • Submit narrative progress reports evaluating program progress.
  • Coordinate and implement enrichment opportunities identified in the workplan.
  • Support facilitators for Amara programs as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Client Services & Compliance Manager for event registration and tracking.
  • Promote Amara Enrichment Opportunities with the Communication Team.
  • Create and maintain a resource list for staff and clients.
  • Implement the identified online platform for web-based enrichment opportunities.
  • Track and report on project statuses and budgetary needs.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Education, or a related field.
  • 1 year of experience in direct service within child welfare or education fields.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, with the ability to read, write, and speak fluently in Spanish.
  • Knowledge of youth and adult learning theories and principles.
  • Experience with curriculum development for diverse audiences.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Experience leading workshops and training in both in-person and virtual formats.
  • Demonstrated leadership in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of web delivery tools (Zoom, Teams) preferred.
  • Experience with trauma-informed care practices.
  • Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends.
