About the position
The Enrichment Program Coordinator is responsible for managing a signature out-of-school time program at Findley and Windsor Elementary Schools. This role focuses on creating a supportive environment for children, promoting their individual value, and fostering relationships among youth, parents, and school staff. The coordinator will oversee program delivery, ensure compliance with YMCA standards, and collaborate with school personnel to integrate the program into the school culture.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned program areas and activities, ensuring compliance with YMCA standards.
- Evaluate and review all aspects of assigned programs for quality and safety.
- Facilitate and manage program delivery for at least 20 hours per week.
- Assist in developing and distributing marketing materials for programs.
- Prepare and submit budget management information for program areas.
- Monitor assigned budget to ensure consistency with approved plans.
- Determine staffing needs and manage staff coverage for programs.
- Build and lead a staff team focused on community needs and member satisfaction.
- Develop collaborative relationships with school personnel.
- Represent the YMCA within and outside the organization.
- Assist in financial development efforts, including fundraising campaigns.
- Plan and organize special events as required.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Degree in a related field or 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- 1-2 years of program development and management experience in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
- Current Red Cross CPR/First Aid/AED Certifications or equivalent prior to starting.
- Completion of Intro to Y's Cause & Culture Online Course prior to starting.
- Additional training to be completed within the first 30 days and maintained afterwards.
