About the position

As an Enrolled Agent at Tax Resolution Associates, you will play a crucial role in establishing communication with tax agencies and managing case files for clients. Your primary responsibilities will include negotiating resolutions with Federal and State tax agencies, preparing financial documents, and ensuring timely completion of assignments to achieve the best outcomes for clients.

Responsibilities

• Establish contact with tax agencies and update case files on behalf of clients.
• Communicate with Federal and State tax agencies to obtain the best resolution for clients, including the release of wage/bank levies and securing holds.
• Prepare and review financial documents to determine the best resolution options such as Offer in Compromise, Installment Agreements, Currently Non-Collectible, and Penalty Abatement.
• Proactively interact with clients to gather tax information and resolve tax-related questions.
• Work independently or collaboratively with staff to analyze client data.
• Effectively manage workflow and priorities to ensure timely completion of assignments.

Requirements

• Must hold an active license as an Enrolled Agent, Certified Public Accountant, or Attorney.
• Associates degree or higher required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Tax Relief.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and PDF.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong organization, multi-tasking, time management, and project management skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience working as an Enrolled Agent or in tax law.
• Experience with Logics, Drake, QuickBooks is a plus.
• Desire to grow your career in a fast-paced environment.
