About the position

The Enrollment Management Specialist plays a crucial role in facilitating student admissions and supporting students in their academic pursuits, particularly focusing on online programs. This position involves recruiting students, developing strategies for enrollment, and maintaining effective communication with prospective students to ensure a smooth enrollment process.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit students into NCC's online programs and courses.
  • Work with the Enrollment Group to develop plans and strategies to recruit online students, retain and grow the program.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to implement texting services, chat rooms, video tours, and other tools to serve online students.
  • Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) systems, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and other recruitment software to manage and respond to leads efficiently.
  • Provide timely and attentive follow-up to inquiries and applications, maintaining a warm and engaging presence to nurture leads through the enrollment process.
  • Familiarize with the certification, diploma, and degree programs of Northwest Iowa Community College.
  • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly goals and conduct appropriate follow-up contact with prospective students.
  • Adopt a student-focused approach in communication, recognizing students' needs and educational goals while conveying the value of community college programs.
  • Assist with high school visits in the local service area.
  • Maintain student contact information and documentation within the student record system.
  • Advise and assist prospective students with the admissions process.
  • Familiarize with Northwest Iowa Community College policies and procedures for advising, admission, financial aid, etc.
  • Conduct campus visits with prospective students as needed.
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of orientation for online students.
  • Promote the mission of Northwest Iowa Community College in a professional manner.
  • Assist with special event days (visit days, orientation, open house, etc.).
  • Promote and maintain open communication with all college constituents.
  • Attend staff meetings, regional, state, and promotional meetings to promote continued professional growth.
  • May be assigned advising responsibilities.
  • Actively participate in college committees.
  • Participate in professional development activities that support the position.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Enrollment Management.

Requirements

  • Associate of Arts or Associate of Applied Science Degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Marketing skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor of Arts/Science Degree
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Experience in student affairs/student services/enrollment management at the community college level
