About the position

The Enterprise Account Executive role is a pivotal position within a UK-based Climate Tech start-up, focusing on establishing the company's commercial presence in North America. This position involves owning the sales efforts in the region, particularly targeting key Banking and Real Estate management companies, and later expanding into other industries. The role requires building relationships with clients, executing a sales strategy, and contributing to the company's growth in the US market while working closely with a team of climate scientists and sales professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Own the sales efforts in the North American region for the climate risk platform, Spectra.
  • Open relationships with key Banking and Real Estate management companies.
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive revenue growth in the US financial services and real estate sectors.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and tailoring solutions accordingly.
  • Deliver presentations and demonstrations of Spectra to potential clients, explaining its value proposition and unique features.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Support sales enablement and marketing initiatives around brand awareness and demand generation.
  • Acquire and integrate industry knowledge related to trends, emerging technologies, and competitors.
  • Work collaboratively with climate scientists, risk analysts, and data scientists to develop innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • Proven track record as an Enterprise Account Executive with success in managing end-to-end B2B sales cycles, ideally in data, SaaS, or technology.
  • Experience in a fast-paced SaaS or technology start-up, with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong relationship management skills and a consultative approach to sales.
  • Experience closing complex deals and strong sales and pipeline qualification processes.
  • Strong analytical skills to understand complex data and climate models.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven sales success in the financial services or real estate/asset management sectors.
  • Experience and understanding of banking, risk assessment, and stress testing.
  • Ability to explain complex topics to different audiences and seniority levels.
  • Experience with HubSpot or equivalent CRM tools.
  • Knowledge of climate modelling and analytics.
  • Passion for climate change and its impact on the global economy.
